What it is

There are two ways to make one. Overprinted bags are printed onto stock bodies we already hold dies for, which is the quicker and usually cheaper route. Machine made bags are printed and formed in one pass, which opens up the full print area including the gussets and the base.

Stock is smooth or ribbed kraft, in white or brown. Ribbed kraft has a fine corrugation that catches the light and feels sturdier in the hand; smooth kraft prints sharper.

For most shops this is the bag to start with: it is the cheapest per unit at volume, it stacks flat, and nobody has to be told how to use it.

About this bag

+ Overprinted or machine made?

Overprinted is quicker and uses an existing die, so it suits a straightforward logo. Machine made lets the print run across the gussets and the base, and allows sizes that are not in the stock list.

+ White or brown kraft?

Brown for a natural, everyday look and the best price. White where the artwork has light colours or photographic detail.

+ Can the handles be a different colour?

Coloured twisted paper handles are available, subject to a minimum order quantity on the handle itself.
